As, a project management consultant and global volunteer for PMI, I’m here to illuminate the path that PMI is charting for the future of project management, embracing innovations and strategic initiatives that will shape our profession. This keynote, based on my observations and not officially endorsed by PMI, will delve into the transformative journey PMI is undertaking through its „PMI Next“ strategy, its recent acquisitions such as PMO GA and Project Management Without Borders, and the pivotal role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in this evolution. My intention is to present these insights to audience here.

PMI’s proactive stance in integrating AI into the fabric of project management is not just a forward-thinking move; it’s a necessary evolution to meet the challenges and opportunities of the digital age.

The „PMI Next“ initiative, for example, is a testament to this adaptive strategy, focusing on creating a more agile, inclusive, and technologically savvy organization. PMI’s acquisitions, including PMO GA and Project Management Without Borders, further underscore its commitment to broadening the scope and impact of project management across industries and borders, fostering a global community of practitioners equipped to navigate the complexities of the modern project environment. In this keynote, we will explore how these initiatives, coupled with the integration of AI, are not only preparing PMI and its members for the future but are actively shaping what that future looks like. From digitizing project data to enhancing decision-making with AI-driven insights, we will uncover the myriad ways in which project management professionals can leverage these developments to lead with confidence and innovation in an ever-changing world.
